Day1:Nairobi-Maasai mara
Pick up from airport/hote/residence depart from Nairobi heading for MasaiMara along the Nairobi-Mai mahiu road have a stopover at great Rift valley and view the escarpment take some minutes to take photos of this geographical feature as well.Proceed to Narok town where you will have your lunch, after lunch you drive about 4 hours to arrive at Maasai mara national reserve, check in the camp around 1600hrs relax for a while later proceed for the evening game drive.The evening gamedrive is the best game drive to observe the sunset and various birds and animal species that come out of in the evening hours. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 2:Maasai mara full day
After breakfast proceed for an intensive full day gamedrive in the grassland savannah of the Masai Mara, you will have a nice view of the sunrise in the morning and also witness cat killing.Maasai mara national reserve is well known for annual wildebeest migration which takes place in the month of early July and late October.Enjoy your picnic lunch at the park then proceed with the game drive.On this day 2 you can opt for an optional activity.The two optional activities involved are;balloon safari done at the crack of dawn, that gets you an aerial view of the reserve and is later accompanied by champagne breakfast .The other optional activity is a visit to the masai people.In the afternoon,relax enjoy your dinner and overnight at the budget camp.
Day 3:Maasai mara –Nakuru
Early morning rise,breakfast then proceed for final gamedrive as you depart Masai Mara .The morning hours are crucial as this is when most cats are active and you can get to catch a glimpse of a hunt.Thereafter depart the Mara region towards Lake Nakuru Region enroute enjoy fascinating distant views of lake Elementaita as well as mount Longonot.Arrive at your budget hotel in Nakuru,where you will have your dinner and overnight.
Day 4:Nakuru-Amboseli
Rise up for your breakfast then proceed for a gamedrive at Lake Nakuru National Park.This park has a reputation of having the largest concentration of Rhinos in the whole of Kenya,it is also home to the popular type of white rhinos.Lake Nakuru national park plays host to the soda Lake Nakuru which is also home to the pink flamingoes that give the lake a distinct pink rim.Sightings of rothschild giraffe,cape buffalo,waterbuck,lion,leopard,zebras,gazelles,impala,eland,hyrax are a common sight at this park.Later depart from Nakuru to Amboseli.Arrive in the afternoon check in and relax therafter proceed for your evening game drive.After your gamedrive enjoy dinner and overnight at budget camp.
Day 5:Amboseli full day
Early morning rise,breakfast then proceed for your full day gamedrive at Amboseli.Amboseli comes second only to Masai Mara as a popular game viewing destination ,it is most famous for its elephant population,herds as many as 100 can be spotted at the swampy springs in Amboseli.Apart from elephants other animals that can be spotted are buffalos,wildebeest,zebra,impala,Lion,Leopard,Cheetah,Jackal,hyena as well as other cats.In the afternoon,relax enjoy your dinner and overnight at a budget camp.
Day 6:Amboseli -Arusha
Early morning rise,breakfast then proceed for gamedrive enroute.The morning hours are crucial as this is when most cats are active and you can get to catch a glimpse of a hunt.Thereafter depart Amboseli for Arusha through the Namanga border.At the border finalise with the immigration formalities then proceed to Arusha.On arrival at Arusha check in at a budget hotel that will be booked on bed and breakfast basis only for your dinner will be at own extra cost.
Day 7:Arusha-Lake Manyara
Depart Arusha for Lake Manyara along the Manyuni-Ngorongoro road,the distance from Arusha to Lake Manyara is about 124km.This drive may take 2hrs.On arrival at Lake Manyara enjoy a midday to afternoon gamedrive,Lake Manyara is known for its hotsprings as well as for its lions which like climbing trees as a mechanism of hiding away from the heat of the sun animals that are a common sighting other animals found here are elephants,buffalo,leopard,lions.Dinner and overnight at a budget camp near the park.
Day 8:Lake Manyara-Serengeti
Breakfast in the morning later proceed for your final gamedrive at Lake Manyara.Lake Manyara national park has varied bird species that can be broadly classified as either migratory species or resident,some of these birds include hornbills,flamingoes,flotillas of pelicans.Depart for Serengeti National park with your lunch enroute , on arrival check in at your camp and relax before going for your evening gamedrive. Day 9:Serengeti-Ngorongoro
Breakfast later followed by a last gamedrive in Serengeti.Spotting the big five is certainly possible at Serengeti apart from the African big five there some rare animals that can be spotted at Serengeti such as aardwolf and ground pangolin.Depart for Ngorongoro crater,which is not only a geological feature but also happens to be a wildlife hotspot.Sightings of the big five are almost assured at this park.Lunch enroute,arrive in the crater region, check in and relax at your budget camp thereafter proceed for your afternoon gamedrive.Dinner and overnight at budget camp near the crater.
Day 10:Ngorongoro-Arusha
After breakfast proceed for last gamedrive at Ngorongoro,the shortgrass and a little swampy vegetation make this park popular with grazers such as zebras,the walls of the crater are covered by montane forests giving the whole park a diverse outlook.Majestic bull elephants are also in plenty in this park.Depart for Arusha with lunch enroute.Drop off at your local hotel in Arusha.Hotel in Arusha will be booked on bed and breakfast basis only,dinner will be at own extra cost.
